GUNNER.com

The GUNNER G1™ kennel is the first dog crate to earn a 5 star Crash Test Rating from the Center for Pet Safety. The G1™ kennel is the only double-wall rotomolded crate on the market, and that is just part of the Gunner safety equation.

Nuts&Bolt are not retrofitted!  They are made for the kennel.  With lesser models, I had to buy additional fasteners that may not fit as well, especially if you accidentally distort the holes when removing the plastic fasteners.

G1™ Intermediate Interior Dimensions

  • 30″ (L) x 18″ (W) x 25″ (H)
  • 33.25″(L) x 21″(W) x 29″(H)

All the Basics are here:  Easy-open Latch for opening the dog travel carrier with one hand. Ventilation openings on 3 Sides provide Pets ample Fresh Air and Visibility

Sturdy Plastic Shell Metal Nuts & Bolts so you don’t have to replace the plastic ones. (Most airlines require metal fasteners.) Easy, Hassle-Free Assembly

Simple and Solid design.  The two halves fit together well.  The ventilation holes are paw-proof, but not very gnaw proof.  Airline compliant for most. Easy-open Latch for opening the dog travel carrier with one hand.

Larger Crates have back vents, compartment covers, and side latches for the smaller sizes and secure tie-down holes for the larger sizes.

Petmate Sky Kennel

Petmate Sky Kennel from Amazon.com
Pros
  • 4 Way Vault Door
  • Heavy-Duty Plastic
  • I appreciate Best the 365 Degree Ventilation. No Matter how this Crate is Stacked or Loaded it Will Have No Ventilation Issues
Cons
  • Need to buy Metal Nuts & Bolts
  • You can go to the local hardware store and buy metal nuts and bolts. Just bring these for sizing

I needed to change the plastic nuts & bolts for Metal nuts & bolts. These are required for almost every airline. This carrier has 11 bolt holes plus an additional 4 tie down holes. Some airlines specifically require every drill hole must have a nut & bolt.

The wire door, latch system and 360-degree wire ventilation windows are IATA and airline compliant.

I like that it comes with 2 “LIVE ANIMAL” stickers, 1 dual food & water bowl that attaches to the kennel door, 1 absorbent paper pad, and ID stickers.

Please note that only sizes 21″ and 28″ include a handle. All other sizes DO NOT come with a handle.

Easy to operate secure latches, Made in the USA of recycled materials, Four-way ventilation

Dimensions:

  • 32.5x26x26
  • 36.25×24.75×28.8
  • 44x29x32.5

Most Airlines Require Your Pet Crate to Have “Live Animals” stickers and Metal Fasteners.

I use this Pet Travel Kit, the Complete GT Deluxe Pet Airline Kit with Pad. The kit has the “Live Animal” stickers, in the IAPTA required size, the information sticker with all the Information about your Pet, a Pee Pad, Pouch for Food, Funnel, 2 clip on Bowls and especially the metal fasteners to change my plastic fasteners to metal fasteners and a few other helpful items so my Crate is ready for Travel.
