Paradise for Paws basically tries to take care of as many good boys and girls as they can. At the moment they’ve got around 30 adoptable pups looking for their forever homes. But that number changes all the time as dogs come in and get adopted out.n

What kind of dogs do you accept?

We’ll basically accept any breed or mix. As long as the pup is nice and looking for a home, we’ll take them in. We’ve even had a few cats and other critters come through here from time to time. Our main goal is finding homes for animals that need one, no matter what kind.n

How much does adoption cost?

Our adoption fees help cover things like vet care, food and shelter for the pups while they’re here. For dogs it’s usually around $100-200. Cats and smaller animals are less. But we always work with folks if money’s kind of tight – the most important thing is finding the perfect match!n

What’s the adoption process like?

First we’ll have you fill out an application so we can make sure the pup is a good fit for your home. Then you can come in to meet some dogs and find the right match. We want to be sure it’s a good forever home for both you and the pup. Once approved, it’s just a small fee and paperwork and then you’re off to your furever home!n

How can I help if I don’t adopt?

Money is always needed to care for all the furry friends. You can donate online or drop off supplies. We’re always looking for volunteers to walk dogs, clean cages, foster animals or help with events. Sharing on social mediahelps dogs find homes too. Really any kind of support is awesome and goes a long way for the pups.

What makes you different from other shelters?

We’re a tiny non-profit so we really rely on the kindness of the community. Many hands make light work, as they say! We also do our best to get to know each dog as an individual to figure out their needs and what kind of home would suit them best. Some other shelters can have a lot of dogs but we try to give more one-on-one time.n
