YOU CAN TAKE A SHELTER DOG FOR A WALK
Want some company in Mexico City? These dogs certainly do! Maybe you are without your companion animal for your stay in Mexico City. These pups at La Casa del Mestizo, while waiting for their forever home would be thrilled to go out for a walk with you. In the popular and very walkable Roma Sur neighborhood, for the price of a copy of your ID you can share an hour or even a whole day with a shelter Dog in need.

Twenty-two years ago Güera opened her heart and her home to abandoned, injured and stray dogs in Mexico City. Today she heals and cares for over 150 dogs living with her and has placed over 4000 to new homes in 22 years.
Working with her small staff of 3 and through donations, her husband and the goods she sells, she continues her wonderful work for so many needy dogs.
While you’re in Mexico City, you can help out by offering to take one or more of her dogs out for a walk. I’m sure they would love the stroll and new company.
